  • Sarah Tilzey, PhD

I am a doctoral level psychologist, licensed in the state of Colorado and currently providing services at Foothills CBT. I received my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in child and adolescent trauma from Palo Alto University. Prior to my graduate training, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. As part of my doctoral training, I completed a pre-doctoral Clinical Psychology internship at the Colorado State University (CSU) Health Network. I then continued my training at the CSU Health Network as a post-doctoral fellow, specializing in providing DBT-informed post-hospitalization care to college students.

I am continually inspired by my clients and feel strongly dedicated to using strengths-based approaches to foster resilience and help individuals reach their goals and build worthwhile lives. Furthermore, I strongly value the extensive training I received in evidenced-based treatments, including Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT), among other approaches. My training, work experience, and interests extend across the lifespan, and I greatly enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. My clinical experience includes a wide array of presenting concerns, including trauma, relational concerns, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, identity-based concerns, eating and body image concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder, suicide, and self-harm behaviors.
